NEWSFLASH: Nearly 180 State & Local Chambers Of Commerce From 46 States Warn Anti-Tech Bills Will Lead To Higher Prices & Damage Innovation

This week, a coalition of nearly 180 state and local chambers of commerce from 46 states sent a letter to “strongly oppose” anti-tech bills that would “fundamentally rewrite” American antitrust law to “protect competitors rather than consumers,” creating different rules for certain leading American companies “based on arbitrary criteria.” The letter emphasizes:

— “These bills would harm consumers by raising prices, fueling inflation, reducing investment, and damaging innovation.”

— S. 2992 “may well ban companies from providing certain services to consumers at no cost.”
